In May 2016, the Bergen International Wood Festival (BIWF) will take place for the 6th time in Bergen, Norway. The festival focusses on spatially experimental timber constructions and the constructive, structural and sensual qualities of wood as a building material.
On this year's theme of ‘Green Transition’, 21 international teams from Canada, Scandinavia, Italy, Poland, Turkey and Germany will construct impressive and inspiring wooden installations from standard wooden slats in just five days. Anja Cambria Oellermann, Magdalena Dimanski and Katharina Mülke are also taking part in the festival with their organic-geometric design.
The installation will be constructed again for the annual exhibition at the Muthesius University of Fine Art and Design in 2016.
